Listening to employees\u2019 needs and offering the proper tools to promote and ensure an employee\u2019s task has been shown to positively affect a person&#8217;s life in a work environment. Studies have shown how negative emotions at work can have an array of effects on employees ranging from issues like feeling overwhelmed, feeling anxious, to even fatal cerebrovascular or cardiovascular diseases. Employer programs such as an EAP has shown to improve employees&#8217; mental health which in turn positively affects business. This project examines the environment of a popular fast-paced restaurant business through surveys, interviews, literature review, case studies, and cross-cultural analysis. My results reveal the high levels of stress among employees in the customer service industry. Interestingly enough, the high levels of stress did not impact employee satisfaction. The findings also showed how third-party programs can be useful to employees and employers.
